Archive Services Platform Integration Options

Integration to the Archive Services Platform is managed via the Archive Services Platform API or Command Line Tools. The Archive Services Platform API is a web services layer that exposes the functionality of the Archive Services Platform via SOAP and REST calls, while Command Line Tools do so via a simple command line interface. Which one is right for you?

Use Case - API

You have an application that generates data at volumes that your customer can no longer sustain. You can integrate your application with the Archive Services Platform via the API so the data generated is stored at Iron Mountain. You can additionally enable search and other information management functionality against the Platform so your customer can easily find the data at a later date.

Use Case – Command Line Tools

You have data generated by various products distributed throughout your environment and much of it is inactive. You can use Command Line Tools and any scripting language to create a simple process to move data that is of a certain age, type, etc. to the Platform for long term storage.
