By integrating with the Iron Mountain Archive Services Platform you will be helping your users better manage their application data. You will not only be providing them with secure cloud storage, but can offer complementary information management functionality for their data, such as Search, Retention, Destruction and eDiscovery functionality.
- Will program members be able to co-brand solutions with the Iron Mountain brand?
Once you have integrated your application with the Archive Services Platform, you can submit your application for a readiness review. Once your application has been reviewed by Iron Mountain, you will receive the right to use the “Protected by Iron Mountain” logo in your product, on your website and in your literature.
- How will Iron Mountain use my information if I register?
Iron Mountain understands your concerns about the privacy of data you may submit through this Iron Mountain web site. We will use the information you submit (a) to answer your specific inquiry; (b) at your option, to send you additional materials relating to Iron Mountain and services that may be of interest to you; (c) in the administration of the Web site; and (d) as otherwise described in Iron Mountain’s privacy policy.

The program provides the technical tools, documentation and support that you need to be successful.
- How does the Developer Program fit with Iron Mountain’s strategy?

- How will our customers/users take advantage of storage at Iron Mountain?
Once you have joined the program and integrated your application with the Iron Mountain Archive Services Platform, your users can start to store or archive their data at Iron Mountain. In many cases application developers are providing their users the ability to select “Archive to Iron Mountain” right from within their application UI. End users can then securely archive and then retrieve their data from Iron Mountain from your application, for a low monthly per/GB storage fee.
- What are the costs associated with this program?
There are no costs when it comes to joining the Iron Mountain Developer Program. The APIs, sample apps, support and documentation are free to program members. Once you have integrated your application with the Archive Services Platform you can engage Iron Mountain’s Developer Support team to perform a readiness review on your integrated solution. Your users are charged a monthly per/GB storage fee when they protect their data at Iron Mountain. There are no hidden charges for transmitting or retrieving data

- What is the Archive Services Platform?
Iron Mountain’s Archive Services Platform is a comprehensive cloud-based information storage and management platform. Unlike other cloud-based storage platforms, the Archive Services Platform provides a rich set of functionality to manage your customers’ data and to enhance your applications functionality. Features such as full-text search and retention management are just some examples. Iron Mountain Developer Program members integrate their applications with the Archive Services Platform through a set of web services APIs. This integration gives customers the flexibility of using cloud resources while providing the level of service and security that Iron Mountain is known for.
- What are the choices when it comes to integrating our solution with the Archive Services Platform? When integrating your application with the Archive Services Platform the first and most significant choice you’ll make is what functionality to take advantage of. The Archive Services Platform provide storage, retention management, rich metadata support, search, and destruction capabilities. It’s clear in most applications how to leverage the storage functionality, but the other services can truly transform your application and make your customers’ data more accessible and more useful. The next choice is how you will integrate with the Archive Services Platform. Your options include direct integration by coding to the web services API, and command line integration through a set of command line tools.
- What are the “information management” functionality that we can integrate into our application?The Archive Services Platform includes retention management, full-text search, dynamic metadata support and destruction capabilities. - Is my end-user’s data secure?
Here at Iron Mountain we take security and the integrity of our customer’s data very seriously. Data is encrypted not only during transfer, but also when stored. Each stored item is secured with industry leading encryption algorithms and each item has its own unique encryption key. Transmission, authentication and authorization to access data is managed through certificates ensuring that data is always safe.
- What platforms (or operating systems) can integrate with the Archive Services Platform? The Archive Services Platform is accessible through a web services API and through command line tools making it easy to integrate with from any operating system and programming language.

- How do we join the Developer Program?
You may register with the Developer Network to gain access to technical documentation, sample code and developer tools. If your company would like to be a member of the Iron Mountain Developer Program you will need to contact the Business Development team.
- What happens after I register?
After you register to join the Iron Mountain Developer Program, and your application is accepted, you will can log in with your User Name and Password to gain access to development resources (documentation, APIs, sample apps, etc.) and be able to participate in the Support Forums.
- How do we get billed for storage used?
Once you have completed and launched your integrated solution to your customers, then we will track all of their consumption of storage at Iron Mountain, and bill you on a monthly basis. You will be sent a bill itemizing each customer’s usage of storage in the Iron Mountain data centers.
